Karina receives fantastic feedback from little Jimmy

Jimmy loves Karina’s classes

Now this feedback Karina received brought tears to her eyes, its so wonderful to be able to help children to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Jimmy has been attending Karina’s nursery classes in Shropshire and his mum wrote the following to Karina –

I’d still love Jimmy to attend sessions with you if possible as he’s going to miss it desperately.  He looks forward to it every single week and it definitely gets him into nursery.  I don’t know how I’m going to break it to him that your classes will stop when he goes to school!!!  Please let me know if there’s anything he could join, thanks, Kath.

P.S. Thanks again for the ace party.  Below I’ve put some feedback.

Jiimy tells me that he should eat 5 portions of veg a day and shows me a fist size for what he should eat.  You should eat this much brocolli and this much potatoes and this much meat…

He says eating sports candy gives you strong muscles, and then kisses them.

Water is good for you.  It’s the best drink.

Robbie Rotten is lazy because he doesn’t exercise.

I love brocolli and carrots.  They’re good for you.

I’m doing my exercises like Karina.  (Doing little bounces on all fours and fast sprints.)

It goes on.  He’s absolutely hooked and you are his mantra!#keep up the great work Karina 🙂

Race for Life warm up was a great success

I am so proud of the extra work our franchisees put in to assist charities in their locations. Yesterday, Karina warmed up the crowd for The Race for Life fundraising event in Shrewsbury.

We are all aware of the great work carried out by Cancer Research UK and the progress they have made to date.  I was very pleased to hear that Karina was assisting with the fundraising for more research in to Cancer as I lost my friend from Breast Cancer last year, she was only 37 years old and mum to two young children, it was a very sad time for her, and her family and friends.

Yesterday in Shrewsbury two thousand women and children dressed in pink met to walk, run or jog the 5K ‘Race for Life’.  The Race for Life raises money for Cancer Research UK and takes place very year at hundreds of locations all over the UK.  Today was Shrewsbury’s turn.  Karina Davies, who runs the LazyTown Sports Club in Shrewsbury took the lead for the warm-up activity getting everyone ready for the race.  She was joined on stage by 5 amazing members of the LazyTown Sports Club from Minsterley Primary School.  The five children aged 5-8 attend the afterschool club every week and volunteered themselves for the event.  Karina reports ‘my volunteers were brilliant, it was such an honour to be able to share the stage with them, I hope they are feeling very proud of themselves’   The fifteen minute warm-up saw a sea of pink crowds moving to the Sports Club favourites routines including the Pirate warmup of course.  Watch this space to see the photo’s from the event, and hopefully we’ll get to see some video footage too.

Well done Karina, the feedback I have received has been great.

Comic Relief fun with Karina in Shrewsbury

Karina is going to get kids moving for Comic relief  🙂

Karina has decided to do something funny to raise funds for Red Nose Day. Her plan is to bring the fun of  The LazyTown Sports Club to as many children as possible in her home town of Shrewsbury.

She hopes to make a record in the area for getting a thousand kids active in one day. The 15 minute LazyTown Sports Club Session will be brought free of charge to Primary School’s in her area along with the energy, music, movement and go go go from the LazyTown TV series.

Please sponsor her to help get kids active and in turn make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable people across the UK and Africa. Thank you.  http://my.rednoseday.com/FitKidShrewsbury?SID=158810&Lang=en-CA

Go Go Go Karina

I have to tell you again how proud I am to recieve an email through our website today, telling us how Karina delivered a great LazyTown Sports Club Celebration.

The hard work and dedication that Karina has put in to her franchise, shines thorugh when she receives great feedback as below. Well done Karina 🙂

I really enjoy working with franchisees who are committed to the brands and want to make a difference to children’s lives. Sadly there are too many people working with children who have no passion and enthusiam and don’t want to be in their jobs, personally I think they need to find a new career fast 🙂 However I can put my hand on my heart and say that Karina is not one of these people 🙂

Read the great feedback below –

I just wanted to feed back how absolutely thrilled I am with Karina Davies who entertained at mu daughter’s 3rd birthday today.  Karina entertained 25 3 year olds and she absolutely made the party! I don’t think there was one parent who didn’t comment to me what a fabulous entertainer Karina was, plus how amazed they were that she was able to control so many children for a whole hour. The children stayed incredibly engaged for the whole time. Karina exudes energy and is completely professional.  The children clearly loved her.  I am absolutely delighted that we decided to have Karina as our entertainment.  Catriona, Shropshire.

We met LazyTown at Butlins

It was an exciting evening for Ellie, Lauren, Louis and Harry as they met Sportacus and Stephanie prior to the Launch of the new LazyTown Live Show at Butlins, Bognor.

The 4 children all attend The LazyTown Sports Club powered by FitKid within their local community and enjoy the opportunity to meet Sportacus and Stephanie. They love the interactive classes and enjoyed jumping around to the music at the LazyTown show at Butlins.

Record breaking day for Karina

Karina has had a record number of children through the LazyTown Sports Club virtual doors yesterday.

The day started early with her arrival at Sundorne Infants School for a 15 minute Wake Up and Shake Up session.  All 250 children in Reception, Yr 1 and Yr 2 had been told that the ‘LazyTown Lady’ was coming to the school.  She then found out that the Hall had a maximum capacity for about 80.  There was no way that she was going to let any of those children down so… that was 3 back to back Wake Up and Shake Up sessions first thing in the morning and 250 very happy smiley children (what a rush).

Next she shot (driving very carefully!) to her Nursery session to run her weekly session with 25 little pre-school smiley faces.  Then she traveled to Meole Brace Primary for an after school club with 30 energetic and lively 4-6 yr olds.  In total she motivated over 300 kids to get active with the LazyTown Sports Club…… the challenge is on…. next week she is aiming for more.

Karina receives further fantastic reviews on her LazyTown Sports Club Classes

I had to tell you all about another proud moment today when I received an email from Karina, my franchisee in Shropshire who is doing fantastic work at a local nursery.

The children at Hillside Nursery attend a weekly LazyTown Sports Club with Karina Davies in Shrewsbury.  Their favourite activity is the Pirate Routine, here are a few photo’s of rowing the pirate boat and sorting the treasure.

Janet Phillips who is the Manager at Hillside House Nursery quoted “‘Karina has been coming to Hillside House Nursery in Shrewsbury since October 2010 to deliver an hour’s activity session with the LazyTown Sports Club.  I have always encouraged a huge sense of fun at Hillside and we have been delighted by the reaction from our Pre-School children week on week, they absolutely love the activity.  The enthusiasm that Karina puts into every session is infectious, and I watch every child leaping around the room with huge smiles on their faces. Not only are they having an opportunity to get active and exercise during the session, Karina also includes a health related message from Sportacus every week which the children can colour in and keep.  I would highly recommend that pre-school providers in Shrewsbury make contact with Karina to book these sessions.  I wish Karina every success for the future of FitKid Shrewsbury, the commitment that Karina is making to increase the activity levels of children is commendable.’

Karina also attends other Nurseries in Shrewsbury and is actively looking for more sessions.  If you work at a Nursery in Shrewsbury or your child attends one, please ask the owner/manager get in contact.  Karina is happy to offer a free session for any nursery who enquires about the sessions.  Karina can be contacted on karina@fitkid.co.uk or 08445 6060432.

Help us to get more kids moving !
