Comic Relief Fundraising Continues
The children of St. Stephens Primary School in Tonbridge, Kent helped raise money for comic relief yesterday with some FitKid and LazyTown Sports Club. They came to school dressed as Super Hero’s and raised sponsorship for taking part. 200 children participate and they raised £100, the children were fantastic they all were very energetic and excited and took part in all the activities with lots of enthusiasm.
Terese received an email from one of the school teachers that organised the event Ms. Pople to say “The kids had a great time today, thank you. The teachers have all been saying how good it was too”
Terese is running free sessions for schools in Kent if you would like her to come to your school to motivate your children to get active please email: email@example.com

Comic Relief efforts will continue in the sunshine this weekend…
As you can see we have a few fund raising activities on the go today and we will continue tomorrow and on Sunday with additional fund raising activities as we look to get nearer to our £500 target.
As we are FitKid, we will be integrating fun fitness activities in to those as well.
Spacehopping as Wonder Woman around Sainsbury’s and getting as many kids moving is GREAT!
We will continue by running and cycling around the park with further donations going towards our target.
Once the kids are off school they will join is as well as we look to make a positive contribution to those who are more needy than us.
Well done to everyone else in the wider World helping out and raising money for Comic Relief
Karina has just updated me with her activitites today for Comic Relief –
9.10am – She arrived at Radbrook Primary School for 2 activity sessions for KS1 and KS2
10.20am – She visited Sundrone Infants for 2 further activity sessions outside in the playground with lots of sunshine.
Sunshine, I don’t see any here in Poole today, looks like Shrewsbury have the nice weather.
Keep up the great work Karina 🙂 you are doing an amzing job and it sounds like you are having lots of fun 🙂
The day of fundraising for comic relief has arrived with many different activities taking place with our franchisees.
These include travelling on a space hopper all day, silence, coffee bans, Activitites at schools and fun games sessions.
I have just heard from Karina and her first session at 8am at Meole Primary School included parents and children dressed in their Pyjamas.
Mandy in Stirling Scotland is dressed as Wonder women and is helping at her children’s school with the healthy tuck shop 🙂
Keep up the good work everyone and check back on the blog today for more updates.
Taking up the Charity mantel again after Children in Need
Well after Children in Need last year, we thought we had better get involved for proper in this year’s Comic Relief effort.
Having participated in Sport Relief and Children in Need, this is the next natural fit for us as we all need a laugh sometimes.
Members of the FitKid team will be participating in numerous activities for Comic Relief from bouncing around on spacehoppers all day to keeping quiet!
The latter of which involves Simon going up against the Chris Moyles Radio Show by trying to keep quiet for Comic Relief.
He says, “There comes a time when not talking can be a good thing too you know, especially if it helps some less well off individuals and families across the World.”
Furthermore he makes the point, “If you cannot be bothered to donate money to me that is fine, but do me a favour and donate to Chris. He is doing pretty well after all and that is only £1. I will do this for 12 hours. £1 an hour would be nice!”
Personal congratulations go to all our Team who are participating tomorrow and we will post updates on the Blog in due course.
Finally, and most importantly if you wish to donate to our team and the activities they are undertaking, please go to http://my.rednoseday.com/FitKidLtd
Karina is going to get kids moving for Comic relief 🙂
Karina has decided to do something funny to raise funds for Red Nose Day. Her plan is to bring the fun of The LazyTown Sports Club to as many children as possible in her home town of Shrewsbury.
She hopes to make a record in the area for getting a thousand kids active in one day. The 15 minute LazyTown Sports Club Session will be brought free of charge to Primary School’s in her area along with the energy, music, movement and go go go from the LazyTown TV series.
Please sponsor her to help get kids active and in turn make a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable people across the UK and Africa. Thank you. http://my.rednoseday.com/FitKidShrewsbury?SID=158810&Lang=en-CA
